ZZ Top
ZZ Top is an American rock band that originated in Houston, Texas, in 1969. The core lineup of the band for 51 years included guitarist and lead vocalist Billy Gibbons, drummer Frank Beard, and bassist and co-lead vocalist Dusty Hill. Following Hill's death on July 28, 2021, he was replaced by the band's bass technician, Elwood Francis, at Hill's request. ZZ Top was initially formed by Gibbons and drummer Dan Mitchell, alongside bassist Lanier Greig. They recorded their debut single with this lineup but soon replaced Mitchell and Greig with Frank Beard and Billy Etheridge, respectively. In February 1970, Dusty Hill, another former member of American Blues, took Etheridge's place, solidifying the classic trio just prior to the band signing with London Records. Etheridge's exit was largely due to his reluctance to commit to a recording contract.
Since the release of their debut album in January 1971, ZZ Top has been recognized for its deep blues influences and witty lyrical content, often characterized by double entendres and innuendo. Their musical style has evolved over the years, starting with blues-infused rock in their early works and later integrating elements of New Wave, punk rock, and dance-rock, notably featuring synthesizers.
In 2004, ZZ Top was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Throughout their career, the band has achieved significant commercial success, amassing 11 gold records and 7 platinum records, along with 13 multi-platinum records. Their 1983 album, Eliminator, stands as their most successful, having sold over 10 million copies. Additionally, ZZ Top ranks 80th in U.S. album sales, with a total of 25 million units sold.

ZZ Top - The Best Of ZZ Top - RE Club Edition (Columbia House - please see photos) Carrolton NICE EX The record has been cleaned using ultrasonic technology and is in strong EX/EX condition bordering on NM, but there's a "CG" in purple marker on Side 1 keeping it from a NM. The cover is very nice and crisp, but shows some shelf wear, only a VG+ because of age!
- Record was initially cleaned manually, then ultrasonically cleaned with iSonic Ultrasonic Cleaning prior to grading

- Records are packaged with a poly outer sleeve, the LP is placed in a fresh white inner sleeve directly after cleaning, (we include the accompanying sleeve, we send you both), separate from the cover to protect the seams during shipment, and of course, shipped within thick cardboard insert pads in a thick cardboard record mailer.

SEALED/Mint:
Vinyl: Assumed mint, unverified until opened.
Sleeve: Visible through shrink wrap, graded as above.
NM (Near Mint):
Vinyl: Nearly flawless, with possible minor scuffs or hairlines only visible under strong light.
Sleeve: Appears new, as if freshly printed.
EX (Excellent):
Vinyl: Bright, with minor surface wear and hairlines, not affecting play.
Sleeve: May have faint creases or abrasions, but artwork is clean.
VG+ (Very Good Plus):
Vinyl: Obvious wear, scuffs and hairlines, plays with some noise but no major sound issues.
Sleeve: Worn with creases, noticeable wear, acid deterioration, corner dings, chipping, and possible seam wear.
Here's the typical SRO Records line in the sand. Anything below VG+, unless it's rare, unusual or just awesome, we're NOT going to sell online, much less go through the hassle of an ultrasonic cleaning, we're going to put it in one of many $10 Record boxes that we sell at Record Conventions and events. Some will wind up in the $1 Box, just to get it back out into the world for someone to enjoy or make a planter out of.
VG (Very Good):
Vinyl: Dull appearance with many hairlines and scuffs, plays with persistent noise but no skips.
Sleeve: Worn with possible seam splits and moderate ring wear.
VG- (Very Good Minus):
Vinyl: Numerous marks and scratches, plays with significant noise but music usually overpowers flaws.
Sleeve: Rough appearance with possible seam splits and water damage.
G+ (Good Plus):
Vinyl: Many marks, somehow plays without skipping despite significant noise.
Sleeve: Heavy ring wear and damage, possible large seam splits.
G (Good):
Vinyl: Copious marks, probably has a skip or jump but no guarantees.
Sleeve: Heavy ring wear and damage, likely large seam splits.
F (Fair):
Vinyl: It's round with nearly infinite damage, skipper gonna skip
Sleeve: It's basically what's left of the sleeve for the album
