Van Halen
Van Halen is an American hard rock band that originated in Pasadena, California, in 1974, founded by Dutch-American brothers Eddie and Alex Van Halen. The band initially began as a trio named "Genesis" in 1972, later changing their name to "Mammoth," with Eddie on guitar and lead vocals, Alex on drums, and Mark Stone on bass. The group was renamed "Van Halen" in 1973 by David Lee Roth, who joined after Mammoth rented a PA system from him. Michael Anthony, formerly of Snake, replaced Stone on bass. The band's first demo recordings were produced in 1976 by Gene Simmons of Kiss. In 1977, they signed with Warner Bros., thanks to producer Ted Templeman, and released their debut album in 1978.
From 1974 to 1985, the classic lineup included the Van Halen brothers, Roth as the lead vocalist, and Anthony on bass and vocals. In 1985, Roth departed to pursue a solo career and was succeeded by Sammy Hagar, the former lead vocalist of Montrose. Under Hagar, Van Halen released four albums over an 11-year period. In 1996, Gary Cherone, formerly of Extreme, took over as lead vocalist, but the collaboration ended in 1999. The band subsequently entered a hiatus until reuniting with Hagar in 2003, leading to a worldwide tour in 2004. Hagar left the band again in 2005. In 2006, Roth returned to the group, but Anthony was replaced on bass by Eddie's son, Wolfgang Van Halen. In 2012, Van Halen released their final studio album, which marked their first collaboration with Roth in 28 years and was the only album to feature Wolfgang. The band's last concert tour took place in 2015.
In 2019, discussions for a further reunion were initiated, but the plans were ultimately halted following the passing of Eddie Van Halen on October 6, 2020. Van Halen was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2007.

- Record was initially cleaned manually, then ultrasonically cleaned with iSonic Ultrasonic Cleaning prior to grading
- Records are packaged with a poly outer sleeve, the LP is placed in a fresh white inner sleeve directly after cleaning, (we include the accompanying sleeve, we send you both), separate from the cover to protect the seams during shipment, and of course, shipped within thick cardboard insert pads in a thick cardboard record mailer.

SEALED/Mint:
Vinyl: Assumed mint, unverified until opened.
Sleeve: Visible through shrink wrap, graded as above.
NM (Near Mint):
Vinyl: Nearly flawless, with possible minor scuffs or hairlines only visible under strong light.
Sleeve: Appears new, as if freshly printed.
EX (Excellent):
Vinyl: Bright, with minor surface wear and hairlines, not affecting play.
Sleeve: May have faint creases or abrasions, but artwork is clean.
VG+ (Very Good Plus):
Vinyl: Obvious wear, scuffs and hairlines, plays with some noise but no major sound issues.
Sleeve: Worn with creases, noticeable wear, acid deterioration, corner dings, chipping, and possible seam wear.
Here's the typical SRO Records line in the sand. Anything below VG+, unless it's rare, unusual or just awesome, we're NOT going to sell online, much less go through the hassle of an ultrasonic cleaning, we're going to put it in one of many $10 Record boxes that we sell at Record Conventions and events. Some will wind up in the $1 Box, just to get it back out into the world for someone to enjoy or make a planter out of.
VG (Very Good):
Vinyl: Dull appearance with many hairlines and scuffs, somehow plays with persistent noise but no skips.
Sleeve: Worn with possible seam splits and moderate ring wear.
G+ (Good Plus):
Vinyl: Numerous marks and scratches, plays with significant noise but music usually overpowers flaws.
Sleeve: Rough appearance with possible seam splits and water damage.
G (Good):
Vinyl: Copious unforgettable marks, probably a skip or jump.
Sleeve: Heavy ring wear and damage, likely large seam splits or water damage.
F (Fair):
Vinyl: It's round with nearly infinite damage, skipper gonna skip
Sleeve: It's basically what's left of the sleeve for the album
