John Lennon
John Winston Ono Lennon (MBE, later returned), an English singer, songwriter, and peace activist, was born on 9 October 1940 in Liverpool, Lancashire, UK, and gained global recognition as the founder, co-lead vocalist, and rhythm guitarist of The Beatles. His songwriting collaboration with Paul McCartney is regarded as the most successful in musical history. Lennon was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1987 and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a performer in 1994. He passed away on 8 December 1980 in New York City, NY, USA.
During his teenage years, Lennon became immersed in the skiffle movement, leading to the formation of his first band, The Quarrymen, in 1956, which would later evolve into The Beatles in 1960. Initially serving as the group's de facto leader, he gradually shifted that role to McCartney. Known for his rebellious spirit and sharp wit, Lennon expressed himself through music, writing, drawing, and film, often incorporating his unique perspective into interviews.
In 1957, Lennon met Cynthia Lennon at the Liverpool College of Art, and they married on 23 August 1962. Their first son, Julian Lennon, was born on 8 April 1963. In the mid-1960s, Lennon published two books, In His Own Write and A Spaniard in the Works, both of which featured collections of whimsical writings and illustrations. His songs, starting with the 1967 release "All You Need Is Love," became anthems for the anti-war movement and the broader counterculture of the era.
From 1968 to 1972, Lennon collaborated with his second wife, Yoko Ono, producing over a dozen records, which included a trilogy of avant-garde albums and his debut solo album, John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band. Among their notable singles were "Give Peace a Chance," "Instant Karma!," "Mother," and "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)." His outspoken political activism, particularly his opposition to the Vietnam War, led to a prolonged attempt by the Nixon administration to deport him after he moved to New York City in 1971.
In 1975, Lennon stepped back from the music scene to focus on raising his son Sean. He made a notable return in 1980 with the album Double Fantasy, a collaboration with Ono. Tragically, Lennon was shot and killed in the archway of his Manhattan apartment building just three weeks after the album's release. His ashes were scattered in Central Park, where a memorial was established, named after the Beatles' song "Imagine," which Lennon wrote.

John And Yoko - Wedding Album 1969 Apple SMAX-3361 no box - EX - The record has been cleaned using ultrasonic technology and is in EX/EX condition, with some staining and hairlines, but still clearly in EX territory - reflected in price. We don't have the box or the postcard (also clearly reflected in price), but have everything else, the two posters and the "The Press" (please review photos). The cover is very nice and crisp, only a VG+ because of age!
- Record was initially cleaned manually, then ultrasonically cleaned with iSonic Ultrasonic Cleaning prior to grading

- Records are packaged with a plastic sleeve, the LP is placed in a fresh white inner sleeve (we include the accompanying sleeve, we send you both), separate from the cover to protect the seams during shipment, and of course, shipped within inserts in a standard cardboard record mailer.

SEALED/Mint:
Vinyl: Assumed mint, unverified until opened.
Sleeve: Visible through shrink wrap, graded as above.
NM (Near Mint):
Vinyl: Nearly flawless, with possible minor scuffs or hairlines only visible under strong light.
Sleeve: Appears new, as if freshly printed.
EX (Excellent):
Vinyl: Bright, with minor surface wear and hairlines, not affecting play.
Sleeve: May have faint creases or abrasions, but artwork is clean.
VG+ (Very Good Plus):
Vinyl: Obvious wear, scuffs and hairlines, plays with some noise but no major sound issues.
Sleeve: Worn with creases, noticeable wear, acid deterioration, corner dings, chipping, and possible seam wear.
Here's the typical SRO Records line in the sand. Anything below VG+, unless it's rare, unusual or just awesome, we're NOT going to sell online, much less go through the hassle of an ultrasonic cleaning, we're going to put it in one of many $10 Record boxes that we sell at Record Conventions and events. Some will wind up in the $1 Box, just to get it back out into the world for someone to enjoy or make a planter out of.
VG (Very Good):
Vinyl: Dull appearance with many hairlines and scuffs, somehow plays with persistent noise but no skips.
Sleeve: Worn with possible seam splits and moderate ring wear.
G+ (Good Plus):
Vinyl: Numerous marks and scratches, plays with significant noise but music usually overpowers flaws.
Sleeve: Rough appearance with possible seam splits and water damage.
G (Good):
Vinyl: Copious unforgettable marks, probably a skip or jump.
Sleeve: Heavy ring wear and damage, likely large seam splits or water damage.
F (Fair):
Vinyl: It's round with nearly infinite damage, skipper gonna skip
Sleeve: It's basically what's left of the sleeve for the album
