Seba Romito has been a registered composer and author with the Italian Society of Authors and Editors (S.I.A.E.) since 1976. Over the years, he has created and published nearly 290 music pieces through various Italian record companies, all of which are regularly registered with S.I.A.E. His work has gained significant exposure, with numerous pieces broadcast on national radio and television, particularly on RAI 3.
In 1990, Romito composed several songs for the soundtrack of the TV series "AQUILE," produced by RAI, and contributed music for the documentary "Australia Quinto Continente," which aired in multiple countries, including Japan. Additionally, he created the score for the documentary "Bellezze naturali," which was broadcast on RAI 3 in April 1996, and he composed music for the national advertisement for "Cucine Berloni."
Many of Romito's signature tunes for radio, television, and sports news have been produced in collaboration with RAI partner New Fonit Cetra in Milan. He has also written texts and music for 14 educational pieces commissioned by Paoline Editions in Rome, which have been translated into six languages for international distribution. His catalog includes a wide array of Italian songs.
Throughout his 25 years in the music industry, primarily in Rome and Milan, Romito has secured various editorial contracts and transferred music internationally. His compositions have aired more than 1,800 times on Italian networks, including programs on RAI 1, RAI 2, and RAI 3, such as "Uno mattina," "L'italia in diretta," "Dottore in," and "Geo e Geo."
Romito's compositions have often accompanied images in various reports on national RAI news. Notably, he composed the soundtrack for the 1990 Italian World Championship, which was released by FONIT CETRA on videotape, as well as the opening music for 90 episodes of the RAI 3 production "In nome della famiglia," which aired in 1997.
His works have been published by esteemed labels including EMI MUSIC ITALY, FONIT CETRA, RAITRADE, GRUPPO EDITORIALE LEONARDI, POLYGRAM, DRAGON MUSIC, EMERGENCY MUSIC ITALY, and GIPSY, ensuring both national and international dissemination of his music. He has maintained a longstanding friendship with the director of EMERGENCY.
Specializing in background music for television, Romito composed the music for "METEO RAI 1," which airs in the mornings, and for "CIS VIAGGIARE INFORMATI," concerning road conditions. In 1998, he created the score for a special broadcast about the ship "AMERIGO VESPUCCI."
In 1999, he released 12 new pieces in February 2000 under the new RAI label “RAITRADE,” becoming one of the first Italian authors to contribute to this record company. Since 2001, he has collaborated with "Scouting New Faces and New Voices" from Padova, where he is recognized as the sole artistic director for the central-southern region of Italy. In 2005, he participated as an author at the Sanremo Rock Festival and performed at the National Eucharistic Congress in Bari during Pope Ratzinger's visit.
An accomplished guitarist, Romito has honed his skills using South American techniques and has performed approximately 800 times in Italy and abroad, often accompanied by a female vocalist. His performances include venues such as Sheraton Hotel, Palace Hotel, Unione Club, Tennis Club, Rotary Club, Sporting Club, and Crans Sur Sierre Club in Switzerland during the World Ski Championship, as well as Costa Cruises and Valtur Club.
Since 2006, he has been involved in promoting Italian artists alongside his close collaborator, pianist Angel Cavallo, focusing on composition, arrangements, and lyrics. From 2008 to the present, he has actively participated in live music events across various venues, forming the SEBA ROMITO TEAM in 2011, which specializes in live music for diverse events, with the BRIO BAND as its inaugural project.
In 2012, Romito composed and produced a CD titled "Tris musicale" for Dragon Music, featuring music for entertainment, documentaries, and soundtracks.
