HIDDEN PLACE is an Italian wave band that was formed in 2004.

Their journey began with the release of their first demo CD-R, titled "Weather Station," in 2005. The following year, in 2007, they launched their full-length debut album, "Fantasia Meccanica," under Hellektroempire. This album blends elements of vintage 1980s electro and new wave, skillfully showcasing the strengths and unique qualities of these genres within each track. While the band respects the history and evolution of electro music, they also maintain a distinctive sound throughout the album, creating a unique interpretation of darker new wave. Notably, "Fantasia Meccanica" features two remixes by The Frozen Autumn.

From this debut album, the song "Picture Hall" is included in the German compilation "VAWS vol.1," while "United" is featured on the English compilation "Electronically Yours Vol.1" released by UNDO/EMI Records.

In 2009, HIDDEN PLACE released their second album, "Punto Luce," through Twilight Records. This album was recognized as one of the top 50 albums of 2009 by Rolling Stone Argentina. "Punto Luce" continues the stylistic exploration initiated in "Fantasia Meccanica," alternating between emotional and refined soundscapes, accentuated by atmospheric elements. The ethereal voice of singer Sara Lux contrasts with the cold tones of the vocoder, adding depth to their sound.

The band's third album, "WEATHER STATION early works," was released in 2010 alongside a re-release of "Fantasia Meccanica," both under Twilight Records. In 2013, HIDDEN PLACE released a cover of The Frozen Autumn's "The Forgotten Frontier," which appears on the tribute album "Riding The Crest of The Frozen Wave" by Calembour Records.

In 2014, to commemorate their ten-year anniversary, the English label Peripheral Minimal released a compilation titled "Retrospettiva 2004-2014." Following the success of this compilation, a second volume, "Retrospettiva vol.2," was also released by Peripheral Minimal.

The band continued their output in 2015 with a 7" single titled "Nei Versi di Prévert," and in 2016, they introduced a new CD called "Nero Schwarz (collezione)."
