Paul Joseph Banfield, better known as P. Kwiva, is an American singer, rapper, songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer hailing from San Pedro, California. His musical repertoire spans various genres, including Rock, Hip Hop, and Electronic Dance Music.

P. Kwiva's journey into music began at the age of 12 when he started taking guitar and piano lessons, marking his first foray into playing instruments. During high school, he actively participated in freestyle rap sessions with friends and collaborated with multiple rock and jazz bands. After completing high school, he furthered his education in music theory and electronic music production at El Camino College, which deepened his understanding and appreciation of music composition and reading.

In 2006, P. Kwiva released his debut album, "Subordinate," recorded with basic and affordable equipment, resulting in a distinctive lo-fi sound. This album was his inaugural effort at producing music in his home studio, where he played all instruments—including guitar, bass guitar, keyboards, and drums—and layered each track separately. "Subordinate" explored a mix of genres, such as melodic death metal, alternative rock, and indie rock.

His second studio album, "Never Ending Techno," was released in 2008, with recording sessions spanning from 2007 to 2008. This album marked a shift from the rock-focused style of "Subordinate" to more electronic genres. Drawing inspiration from renowned DJs of the era, P. Kwiva aimed to create an album that emulated the feel of a live DJ set, seamlessly blending tracks without pauses. The album also included electronic remixes of three songs—“When Eyes Collide,” “Apparatus,” and “Hanger On”—originally from "Subordinate."

In 2010, P. Kwiva released his third studio album, "So Low," recorded between 2008 and 2009. This album was influenced by hip-hop, R&B, and electronica, representing a notable shift from the alternative rock and industrial sounds of his earlier work. "So Low" allowed him to explore a more urban style in his rap compositions, broadening his musical appeal. He incorporated layered synthesizers and experimented with electronic elements while sampling a wide range of sounds, refining his approach to sound engineering.

P. Kwiva's fourth studio album, "I Survived 2012," was released on December 21, 2012, with recordings completed during 2011 and 2012. This album showcased his distinctive style of composing dubstep music, which garnered attention within the electronic dance music community. It illustrated P. Kwiva's artistic evolution, blending elements from his previous works while advancing his production techniques.

In addition to his music career, P. Kwiva operates under the alias "nobodyhasthisyet," where he engages with audiences on YouTube as an avid creator and gamer. His channel predominantly features gameplay videos and tutorials for popular video games, alongside various projects in video editing and graphic design. P. Kwiva currently manages his own independent record label, allowing him to record, produce, and distribute his music autonomously.
