Mr. Lenk currently holds the positions of Director of Music and Liturgy, as well as Principal Organist at Mission Dolores Basilica in San Francisco. His responsibilities encompass the administration of a music program featuring two choirs, providing musical support for regular weekend liturgies and major feasts, coordinating and developing cantors, and conducting the Basilica Choir during significant concerts each year. Additionally, he oversees the annual Basilica guest concert series. An active recitalist and accompanist, he also maintains a private coaching studio. His performance history includes recitals and conducting the Basilica Choir across California, Mexico, and Italy. Mr. Lenk's extensive experience as an accompanist includes collaborations with the San Francisco Opera Merola Program, Western Opera Theatre, San Francisco Symphony Chorus, San Mateo Masterworks Chorale, San Jose Symphony, Golden Gate Men’s Chorus, San Francisco Concert Chorale, San Francisco Lyric Chorus, The Choral Project of San Jose, and the Valley Concert Chorale. He has worked alongside prominent figures such as Robert Shaw, Eugene Butler, and Jörg Demus.

Mr. Lenk began his musical journey on the piano at the age of seven and transitioned to the organ at nine. He earned a Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance with an organ minor from Central Methodist University in Fayette, Missouri, followed by a Master of Fine Arts degree in performance from the University of Iowa. His principal instructors have included Groff Bittner, Thomas Yancey, John Ditto, John Simms, and Delores Bruch.

In addition to his roles as an organist, Mr. Lenk is well-versed as a vocal coach and assistant conductor. His credits in this area include the San Francisco Opera Merola Program, Opera San Jose, the Bay Area Summer Opera Theatre Institute, San Jose/Cleveland Ballet, San Jose State University Opera Workshop, and The University of Iowa.

As a published composer, Mr. Lenk's arrangement of "Jesus Walked This Lonesome Valley" was released by GIA Publications in Chicago. He actively composes and arranges liturgical music for the Basilica, having created various psalm and mass settings.

In 2013, Mr. Lenk was featured as an organist for his own transcription of the Verdi Requiem, performed with the San Francisco Symphony and Opera Choruses at the Oakland Cathedral of Christ the Light.

His recordings include collaborations with the Basilica Choir, the San Francisco Concert Chorale, the San Francisco Lyric Chorus, The Choral Project of San Jose, and a solo recording of organ music produced at Mission Dolores.

Mr. Lenk is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Guild of Organists, the American Federation of Musicians, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Music Fraternity.
