2006 - 2013
The band was established by Nakahara and Oya, who were in their second year of junior high school. They invited Matsumoto, a classmate, to join them. The official formation date is October 24, 2006. Eventually, Oya and an early drummer left to pursue their college studies, and in 2011, Kawaguchi, a friend from their hometown, joined, solidifying the trio. In May 2012, they adopted the name "LAMP IN TERREN." Their first self-planned solo concert took place on July 31, 2013, at the Shimokitazawa CLUB251 live house, an event organized by Matsumoto without prior approval from the other members. During this concert, they released the single "Song from BLUESYARD," exclusive to the venue. Later that year, they won the MASH FIGHT Vol.2 audition organized by MASH A&R and secured the grand prize at RO69JACK, an amateur artist contest by ROCKIN'ON JAPAN, leading to their appearance at COUNTDOWN JAPAN 13/14.
2014 - 2017
On June 25, 2014, the band released their first mini-album, "PORTAL HEART," marking their debut in the national music scene under JACKMAN RECORDS. On October 23, they announced their major debut with A-Sketch set for January 2015. They made their major label debut on January 14, 2015, with the album "Silver Lining." The band provided the song "Void" for the film "Fuufu Fuu Nikki," which starred Sasaki Kuranosuke and Nagasaku Hiromi, released on May 30 of the same year. "Void" was released as a single on May 20. On October 24, Oya, who had been a support guitarist since September, returned as an official member. They launched their solo tour "BLUESYARD landing probe tour 2015" on October 30 and participated in the Spitz tribute album "JUST LIKE HONEY Hachimitsu 20th Anniversary Tribute," released on December 23, contributing the song "Tongari '95."
On May 3, 2016, they released their first single, "innocence/CARAVEN." They embarked on the "GREEN CARAVEN TOUR" from June to July, and from February 23 to March 12, 2017, they participated in Space Shower TV's "Space Shower Retsuden JAPAN TOUR 2017 10th ANNIVERSARY."

The band released their first digital single, "Flowers and Poets," on January 19, 2018, and began their "MARCH" solo tour on April 7, covering four cities: Tokyo, Aichi, Osaka, and Fukuoka. On April 21, Matsumoto underwent surgery to remove vocal polyps, leading to a temporary suspension of activities after their final "MARCH" performance at LIQUIDROOM in Tokyo. They resumed activities with their first outdoor solo live show, "ARCH," on August 19 at Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall. On December 5, they released their fourth album, "The Naked Blues," and held a national solo tour titled "BABY STEP" from February to March 2019.
On July 28, 2019, they performed a solo concert called "Moon Child" at Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall, which was broadcast live on Niconico Live Broadcasting. On July 30, 2021, to commemorate the 15th anniversary of their formation, the band announced the creation of a greatest hits album titled "Romantic Egoist" and a one-man live show named "Branch." However, on September 29, Kawaguchi announced his departure from the band, which culminated in the end of their activities on December 28, 2021, with the "One-Man Live 'A Dream Of Dreams'" at LIQUIDROOM in Ebisu, Tokyo.
