Throughout the 1970s, Henkan produced albums for a variety of artists, including Björn J: son Lindh, Bernt Staf, Scafell Pike, Paul Paljett, and Py Bäckman. In 1975, he began a collaboration with Magnus Uggla, co-writing many of Uggla's songs such as "Varning på stan," "4 sekunder," "Jag mår illa," and "Kung för en dag."

His name also appeared on notable albums like Reeperbahn's "Venuspassagen," which he mixed, and he produced Dan Sundqvist & Prince Valiant's album in 1983.
Henkan contributed to the Melodifestivalen and served as a chapel master on three occasions, as well as on the TV show Måndagsbörsen, participating in over 250 television programs. He co-composed the theme song for "Björnes magasin" with Coste Apetrea and created various film and advertisement music, including a jingle for the Ski World Cup in Falun in 1993, based on "Hjortnäslåten." Together with Björn Skifs, he wrote a song for Leksand IF.
