Shant Hagopian

Shant Hagopian is a Canadian songwriter and guitarist of Syrian and Armenian descent. Between 1996 and 2003, he focused on jazz guitar studies, and in 1997, he established the progressive rock/metal band Nu.Clear.Dawn, which was among the first few bands to emerge from the Syrian music scene. The band toured extensively throughout the Middle East and performed at major festivals. In 2005, Shant relocated to Canada, where he began developing his solo project, "Semantic Saturation." His debut album, "Solipsistic," was released on January 21, 2013, and featured prominent progressive metal musicians, including drummer Virgil Donati, bassist Ric Fierabracci, guest keyboardist Derek Sherinian (formerly of Dream Theater), and vocalist Andy Kuntz (of Vanden Plas). The album received overwhelmingly positive reviews from fans and metal publications.

In 2018, Shant Hagopian released his second project under the Semantic Saturation banner, titled "PARADIGMS," which was scheduled for a midsummer release on August 20.
