Andres Guazzelli Comberti, born on December 20, 1984, is an Argentinian musician, vocalist, audio engineer, and record producer.
He holds a college degree in Audio Engineering, Music Production, and Audio Post-Production for Film, while also pursuing studies in Music Theory, Harmony, and Baroque Composing. As a classically-trained musician, Guazzelli merges intricate orchestral arrangements with the modern edginess of progressive rock and the dramatic brass elements found in epic film scores. His compositions are rich with influences from baroque and classical music, as well as medieval and renaissance traditions, all within the realm of symphonic rock.
From 2011 to 2012, he temporarily stepped in as the lead vocalist for the now-defunct symphonic rock band The Abaddyon Project, filling the role of Guille Josef. During the latter part of 2011 and into early 2012, Guazzelli worked on the 35-minute short film 'V.II', a thriller for which he handled Sound Design and Editing, ADR Recording and Mixing, served as a Foley Artist and Engineer, and composed the original score. This film became notable for being the first local independent film to premiere in a commercial theater. To date, he has contributed to over 30 film projects.
The year 2013 marked a significant turning point in Guazzelli's career. He signed with the American progressive label Melodic Revolution Records, collaborated with international progressive acts such as Corvus Stone and Andy John Bradford's Oceans 5, lent his voice to the Android game Ninja Runner, and released his debut EP, 'Wish You Could Hear'.
In 2015, he released "Overture," the first single from his upcoming rock opera "Wotan: The Untold Story," which spans an impressive 110 minutes and is based on the novel of the same name, featuring contributions from 70 guest artists across 25 countries.
In addition to his music endeavors, Guazzelli has been a professor at ThinkAudio since 2016, where he instructs the next generation of audio engineers in courses such as Mixing I & II, Musical Production II, and Audio Post-Production for Films.
On February 3, 2018, he released a new single titled "August (In Memory of Colin Tench)" as a tribute to his late friend Colin Tench, who passed away in December.
After opting to place "Wotan: The Untold Story" on hiatus, Guazzelli began exploring new sonic territories, moving away from orchestral and cinematic styles towards Argentine folkloric music. This shift led to the creation of "August (In Memory of Colin Tench)" (2018) and "La Balada del Viento y el Tiempo" (2019).
Following his public disclosure of an ADHD diagnosis in his blog post "Living With ADHD," Guazzelli announced the forthcoming album "Atypical," aimed at supporting his treatment for the disorder while donating its profits to ADHD charities. Conceptually framed as "A Day Inside An ADHD Brain," the album translates the disorder's symptoms into musical expressions, including inattentiveness, impulsiveness, hyperfocus, excessive mental and motor activity, restlessness, and sensory overload. "Atypical" was released on October 31, 2020.
Since sharing his experience as a highly functional adult with ADHD, Guazzelli has become a local advocate for the condition, promoting awareness and support for parents of children with ADHD. Once his own treatment expenses are covered, all profits from the album will be donated to various charities and organizations focused on raising awareness and conducting research about the disorder.
On April 16, 2021, Guazzelli released his latest single, "Flores de Abril," inspired by the works of David Gilmour and Brian May. This track serves as an ode to the Autumn Flowers, which bloom as leaves change and endure the long, harsh winter.
