“Meadow Creek” is the musical duo comprised of Linda and Peter Dahl, a married couple hailing from Degerfors, Sweden. Linda, a talented singer and songwriter, secured her first record deal at the tender age of 17 while serving as the lead singer for the band “Angel.” The group found success a few years later with their hit song “Sommaren i city,” which has since become a beloved Swedish summer classic, frequently played on radio stations across Sweden.

Peter, a versatile multi-instrumentalist, producer, and songwriter, began his musical journey as a touring guitarist at just 11 years old. He gained extensive experience as a member of the cover band “Peckas Pack,” where he performed in various party venues throughout Sweden. In 1996, the Dahl couple joined forces to create one of Sweden's earliest ABBA tribute shows, “S.O.S – a tribute to ABBA,” alongside friends from Stockholm. This venture allowed them to tour both Sweden and Europe for an impressive 16 years.

During this time, their passion for bluegrass and country music blossomed, leading them to form the band “Whisky & Dynamite,” which gained significant popularity in the Swedish country music scene. Between 2006 and 2009, Whisky & Dynamite released two albums, and their songs received airplay on radio stations around the globe.

As songwriters, Linda and Peter have crafted numerous songs for various artists and bands, including Roger Pontare, Streaplers, Blender, Sten & Stanley, Drifters, Fernandoz, Barbados, Black Jack, and Fryd & Gammen. Their work has seen several entries on “Svensktoppen,” and they notably wrote the winning song for “Melodifestivalen” in 2000. Their composition “När vindarna viskar mitt namn,” co-written with Thomas Holmstrand, was performed by Roger Pontare, achieving seventh place in the Eurovision Song Contest. They have also participated in national selections for Eurovision in other countries. In 2016, they penned the song “Golden Frame,” performed by Matilda & Stefan, which won the regional final in “Svensktoppen nästa,” organized by Sveriges Radio P4. More recently, they have collaborated with Starlab Publishing to write J-pop and K-pop songs for the Asian market.

Currently, the Dahl couple is focusing on their duo “Meadow Creek,” having released their debut album “Til Death Do Us Part” in December 2017. The album features primarily original material that blends elements of singer-songwriter, country, and Americana, a style referred to as “swedicana” by one reviewer. The album was produced by Göran Eriksson of Black Lake Music, known for his role as the band leader and guitarist in Jill Johnson’s band.

In early 2019, Meadow Creek signed with Lamon Records Nashville, which is now promoting the duo in the United States and internationally.
