Crossing Chaos was established in 1996 by Jimmy (formerly of Samhällets Virus), Daniel (formerly of A.B Hjärndöd, Anabola Militärer, and Cunt Crush), and Per (formerly of A.B Hjärndöd, Samhällets Virus, and Anabola Militärer). The band recorded their first demo, "Bränd Snutkuk," at Q-lturhuset. Following this, Andreas Hedin joined as a guitarist, and they played several local gigs and contributed to various compilation albums.
In 1997, they recorded a self-titled demo at Jim Chaos's "Studio Pilsner," performing shows in Falun, Mora, Hedemora, and Avesta alongside bands like EBOLA (Germany), ASOCIAL, and UNCURBED. The following year, they recorded their second demo, "Promo '98," at Soundlab Studio with Mieszko Talarczyk in Örebro. They received recognition as "Svinets Favorit" from Mikael Sörling in Close-Up Magazine and recorded their first 7" EP, "From the Nearest Liquor Store in Hell," at Black Lounge Studio, which was later released by Resist The System Records in 2000. Their performances continued in Avesta and Borlänge with groups such as THE KRISTET UTSEENDE, DELLAMORTE, DRILLER KILLER, AVSKUM, and FIRST DEGREE MURDER.
In 1999, they recorded the "Behind the Glamorous Face of Our Hypocritical Eden Ruled by Powermad Bastards" EP at Black Lounge Studio, which was released by Yellow Dog Records in 2002. They also re-recorded "Bränd Snutkuk" and covered three songs for a MOB 47 tribute released by Blindead Productions. They played at Eldslandet in Jönköping with Uncurbed & Kontrovers and participated in an "ANIMAL RIGHTS" gig in Uppsala with bands like COSA NOSTRA, DISKONTO, BESK, CHARTA 77, and RADIOAKTIVA RÄKER.
The year 2000 marked their first record release with the "Disgusting Reality" EP, recorded at Black Lounge Studio and released by Blindead Productions. They performed at Q-lturhuset alongside DRILLER KILLER, DISKONTO, UNCURBED, and FIRST DEGREE MURDER, and held a party gig at FDM’s rehearsal room in Borlänge with F.D.M. and UNCURBED.
In 2001, they recorded a split 7" EP with FULL OF HATRED at Black Lounge Studio, which was released by Raid Records in 2002, alongside three additional songs. However, no gigs were performed that year.
In 2002, they worked on their upcoming LP at Black Lounge Studio, which was scheduled for release by Human Vermin Records in 2003. They performed at a "Punkfestival" at Brunnby Camping in Knivsta with bands like AVSKUM, UNCURBED, FIRST DEGREE MURDER, and REBELL ROBERT.
In 2003, they recorded "Torsten hällde brännvin i ett glas åt Karin Söder" in Studio Pilsner for a tribute to EDDIE MEDUZA, mixed at Black Lounge Studio. They also recorded the songs "Tooth by Tooth" and "Be Your Own God," released by Blindead Productions and Halvfabrikat Records.
The LP "At THE END" was released in 2004 by Putrid Filth Conspiracy. In 2005, Crossing Chaos announced their return with a gig at MJC Flambeau in Reims, France, alongside REGRESS, LIFE SENTENCE, and SKITYOUTH ARMY, while preparing a new record, a split with ANOTHER OPPRESSIVE SYSTEM. During this time, Johan Chaos departed for school and relocated to Stockholm.
In 2006, the band celebrated a decade together, planning to record new songs and welcoming Tedd as their new bass player.
In 2007, they embarked on a European tour in April, connecting with fans and sharing music and food. They toured with Italian bands Koppa and Gra and recorded several new songs, including a re-recording of "Hora/Whore." Some new tracks were planned for a split release with Death From Above from Italy/UK. After Tedd's departure, Tompa from SVART PARAD and ASOCIAL joined as the new bassist.
The band performed their final concert in Sardinia in September 2008, though they left the door open for future performances.
