Kenneth Brian is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, and band leader hailing from Gainesville, Florida. Since the release of his debut album in 2002, Kenneth has cultivated a unique sound that blends modern Southern Rock and Americana. His songwriting, characterized by timeless melodies, gritty vocals, and impressive guitar skills, has garnered him a dedicated fan base and the admiration of fellow musicians.

His dynamic performances have caught the eye of notable artists such as Lucinda Williams, Billy Gibbons, and current bandmate Steve Ferrone, who is also a member of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. From 2013, Kenneth toured for two years with Lucinda Williams, who described the band's sound as a cross between Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Drive-By Truckers. Throughout his career, he has also opened for well-known acts including ZZ Top, Steve Winwood, and Blackberry Smoke. Whether performing in intimate honky-tonks or large, sold-out theaters, Kenneth and his band consistently engage audiences with their powerful guitar sounds and tight rhythm section.

Kenneth's sixth studio album, "With Lions," was released on May 19, 2017, featuring 11 original songs written by Kenneth. The album serves as a tribute to his influences and his culturally rich Southern heritage. The single "You’re Not Mine" stands out as an edgy anthem marked by striking guitar solos and strong vocals, while "Beautiful Storm" highlights Kenneth’s skillful use of slide guitar.

The album features contributions from esteemed musicians, including Steve Ferrone (drums, tambourine, shakers) and Scott Thurston (keyboards, piano), both of whom are affiliated with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Ferrone not only contributed to the album but also plays drums for Kenneth when he is not on tour with Petty. Kenneth and Steve first met at a gathering hosted by a mutual friend, and their collaboration began when Steve sat in as drummer for a Hollywood performance. Ferrone has since played a pivotal role in shaping Kenneth's sound and selecting the right musicians for his band. Drummer Chris Cano, chosen by Steve, fills in for Ferrone when he is touring, while renowned session bassist Paul Ill, also a member of the Disresputable Few, joined the band at Steve's suggestion, completing the Kenneth Brian Band sound. Kenneth remarked, "Those two were the perfect combination for what I do. Their influence has helped elevate my playing, and just being around Steve is a master class on how to be a successful artist and a decent human being." The new album reflects a distinctive blend of Southern Rock that is both progressive and deeply rooted in tradition.

Originally from Virginia, Kenneth spent part of his childhood in Alabama before his family settled in Gainesville, Florida, a place steeped in musical heritage. He discovered his passion for music at a young age, writing his first country song on an old guitar when he was just four years old, and began taking his guitar playing seriously at eleven.

In 2001, Kenneth moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where he continued to develop his sound, drawing on traditional influences. "With Lions," released on May 19, 2017, through Robo Records, was recorded at Dave’s Room Studio in Hollywood, California, produced, mixed, and engineered by David Bianco, known for his work with Bob Dylan, Lucinda Williams, and Tom Petty. The album was mastered by Kevin Bartley at the iconic Capitol Studios in Hollywood.
