Miodrag Bole Bošković was born on November 9, 1962, in Titograd, which is now known as Podgorica, Montenegro, Yugoslavia. He completed both his primary and secondary education there, followed by earning a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and another in management with a focus on informatics. His passion for music began in his youth, and he later expanded his creative pursuits to include various forms of video production, such as documentaries and art films.
For over a decade, Bošković served as the Music Editor for Montenegro Radio Television (Radio i Televizija Crne Gore – RTCG). He then took on the roles of Chief Music Editor and Technical Director at Radio Antena M in Podgorica, where he briefly held the position of Director. Subsequently, he became the director of Montena Production in Podgorica. During his time in England, he performed at music venues in cities like Manchester, London, Sheffield, and Aston, and also worked as a guest Music and Film Producer at RTV PICCADILY 103, the largest private Radio-TV station in Manchester. Upon returning to Podgorica, he was Editor-in-Chief at RTV ELMAG for less than three years and later served as an Editor in the Science - Documentary Office of NTV Montena. For a brief period, he also worked as an Editor for the Entertainment and Music Newsroom at the Third Channel of TVCG. He contributed to the technical design, equipment assembly, and program development for several Montenegrin radio and television stations, including Radio Antena M, Radio Montena, Second Program of Radio Montenegro, Night Program of Radio Montenegro, Radio Ozon Kolašin, TV Montena, TV Elmag, TV Sky Sat, TV Budva, TV MTS, and the Third Channel of TV Montenegro.
Throughout his extensive career, Bošković has created a range of music television series, including "Radio County," "Whole Lotta Love," "Rock Me Baby," "Fiesta," "Love You Live," "Musical Earthquake," and "Montenegro Music Scene." He also produced documentary programs such as "Cultural Panel," "Music Postcards of Montenegro - Nuovo," and "Unbreakable." One of his notable contributions is the music and music video for "Good Morning Montenegro," which served as both the opening and closing theme for the morning program of TV Montenegro for many years, influencing the program's title to this day.
Bošković has participated in various international TV and film festivals, including the Workshop Sarajevo TV Festival, Prix Europe Berlin, Rotterdam TV Festival, Manchester Art, and Jahorina Fest. He owns the audio-visual studio "NIGHT ROSE OF MONTENEGRO," where he produces all his films and compositions. A passionate hobby of his is making, collecting, and restoring guitars.
Over the decades, his work in film and music has earned him several prestigious national and international awards, such as the "Montefon" award for promoting film and instrumental music in Montenegro, the "RTVCG Annual Award" for musical creativity, and the "KUD Stanko Dragojević Honorary Plaque" for international representation of Montenegrin culture. He has also received the Annual Award from the Association of Composers of Montenegro "Ilija Lakešić," the award for special film vision at Jahorina Fest in 2014, and the first prize at the international Belgrade Underwater Films Festival in 2016. Bošković is an honorary member of the Italian “Accademia Archeologica Italiana" in the fields of art, film, and music, as well as a regular member of the Doclea Academy of Science and Art (Dukljanska akademija nauke i umjetnosti – DANU). He was also the first honorary member of the "British-Montenegrin Friendship Association" in London and an honorary member of the Montenegrin association Perper from Leipzig. Additionally, he was one of the founders and a long-term member of the Board of Directors of the "St. Petar Cetinjski" Foundation and a member of the "Council of the Movement for the Independence of Montenegro."
Bošković has released over thirty independent projects, including CDs of instrumental ambient music such as "Night Rose of Montenegro," "Mountain of Montenegrins," "Lacus Labeatis," "Profile," "Durmitor," and "Doclea and Other Stories." His documentary musical films include "Music Postcards," "Music Postcards of Montenegro – New," "Throne Stone From," "Tsar of Heroes," and "A Peaceful Haven for Your Soul." His documentary films feature titles like "History of the Montenegro Judiciary," "Barice," the serial "Unbreakable," and "I Maria Gabriela, granddaughter of the queen Jelena of Savoya."
Four of Bošković's film projects, along with one DVD release, were deemed "of special interest for Montenegrin culture and art" by the Ministry of Culture, as per Opinion No. 03-1519/2, dated December 1, 2013.
His music and films have been broadcast across more than 27 countries, including England, Russia, France, Germany, Spain, Belgium, Austria, Sweden, the USA, Argentina, Israel, Australia, and New Zealand.
Reflecting on his work, Bošković has stated, "My music and my films are just my vision of Montenegro, its history, traditions, people, events, and I would be happy if in that way, at least in part, I showed its beauty, which for me is unfathomable. If I succeeded in that, the credit goes to Montenegro, and if I didn't, don't be too harsh on me. The intentions were extremely sincere."
