Bodymovin, consisting of DJ Friction and DJ Thomilla, are highly esteemed DJs and producers with a longstanding partnership that has evolved over the past 15 years. Their deep connection stems from shared roots, environments, musical histories, and influences.

DJ Thomilla, originally from Stuttgart and now based in Berlin, gained recognition as a prominent HipHop DJ and producer. His debut album, Genuine Draft, featured hits such as "Get Up" and "Reimemonster," both of which became instant classics in the genre. Additionally, his production work for the group Fantastischen Vier earned him two Platinum certifications, with notable singles including "Troy" and "Einfach sein" showcasing his studio prowess.

In the 1990s, DJ Friction co-founded the group Freundeskreis alongside Max Herre and Philippe Kayser. Their collaboration yielded two albums, a live LP, a "Best Of" compilation, multiple gold records, and numerous accolades, establishing them as one of the most significant German bands of the decade.

As the new millennium approached, both artists underwent a musical transformation. They revisited their early DJ experiences, blending elements of Funk, Soul, Disco, HipHop, House, Electro, and Miami Bass into contemporary sounds. This shared musical exploration led Thomilla to collaborate with Michi Beck as Turntablerocker, while Friction embarked on solo projects. Their partnership as Bodymovin was officially formed in 2004, following a vibrant joint club tour showcasing their individual albums—Thomilla's Freeze and DJ Friction's Soulsonic.

Describing their approach, the duo likens their performances to "musical chess," with each production and DJ set unfolding progressively.
