Natalie "Tusia" Beridze (born March 28, 1979, in Tbilisi) is a Georgian composer, songwriter, and producer known for her innovative contributions to experimental electronic music. Formerly recognized by the alias [TBA](https://discogs.com/artist/154550), Beridze is an active member of Gudrun Gut's open artist collective Monika Werkstatt and the Georgian creative laboratory [Goslab](https://discogs.com/artist/9485131). She also teaches songwriting and music production at the [Creative Education Studio-CES](https://discogs.com/label/378264) and is represented by Gabriele Loschelder’s agency, Media Loca.

Beridze's artistic journey began in the early 2000s, initially focusing on short films and music videos. Her work on the video for [Nikakoi](https://discogs.com/artist/154550)'s song "Game" (2001) earned her the 2nd prize at the Internationale Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen festival. In 2002, her early solo tracks were featured on the compilation "New Georgian Aestethics - A Collection Of Georgian Electronic Music", and she collaborated with Nika Machaidze/Nikakoi on his debut album "Sestrichka" and 12" "City Lights EP" released by a German label WMFREC.

From 2002 to 2008, Beridze resided in Cologne, Germany, after securing a record deal with Thomas Brinkmann's label Max Ernst. During this period, she adopted the alias [TBA](https://discogs.com/artist/154550), which translates to "Lake" (ტბა) in Georgian and also serves as the abbreviation "to-be-announced" in English. Her debut album as TBA, "Georgia Is Like Spiritual Tokyo", was released in 2003, which was complemented by a "self-titled" [max.E.-CD5](https://discogs.com/release/211405) version. In 2005, Beridze was one of four artists featured on the compilation 4 Women No Cry Vol. 1, representing Georgia alongside Rosario Bléfari (Argentina), Èglantine Gouzy (France), and Catarina Pratter (Austria). She gained recognition as the first female Georgian electronic musician to achieve significant visibility in Europe, releasing four additional full-length albums with Max Ernst, including "Stupid Rotation" under her minimal techno alias TBA_Empty. Notably, she produced a trilogy in 2007 that included a conceptual double album inspired by Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland," along with [Size And Tears](https://www.discogs.com/release/1109011) and "The Other".

In 2007, Beridze returned to Tbilisi, where she released the album "Pending" under the name TBA_Natalie Beridze on Laboratory Instinct. The following year, she released the EP "What About Things Like Bullets" on Monika Enterprise, which was succeeded by her first full-length album for the label, "Forget'fulness", in 2011. Beyond her solo endeavors, Beridze has collaborated with numerous notable artists, including Thomas Brinkmann, [AGF] (Antye Greie-Ripatti), Gudrun Gut, Greie Gut Fraktion, [Wechsel Garland] (Jörg Follert), Marcus Schmickler, Nika Machaidze ([Nikakoi]), Gacha Bakradze, Post Industrial Boys, T.Raumschmiere, and Ryuichi Sakamoto. Additionally, she contributed to the online "mail art" project Chain Music, initiated by Ryuichi Sakamoto & David Sylvian. Beridze has composed soundtracks for several films, including Salome Machaidze's "Trigger Tiger" (2006) and "Dima" (2009), as well as Zaza Rusadze's "A Fold of my Blanket" (2011). Some of her piano compositions have been performed by Vera Kappeler.

As of now, Natalie Beridze has released a total of 11 full-length albums, with her latest work, "Of Which One Knows", issued by the esteemed Australian ambient label Room40 in July 2022.
