The German artist known as 81ttr45hr10t, or Bit Trash Riot in Leetspeak, has a significant background in the German Amiga demoscene. His early works as a composer involved creating Soundtracker MODs, which were distributed on 720-kilobyte disks.
In 2008, he began releasing music within the now-defunct 8bitcollective (8bc) community, with his first full track, "DNS," appearing in 2009. Following the closure of 8bc, he became a member of ucollective, which is also currently inactive, where he contributed to the "Merry Chipmas" samplers in 2010, 2011, 2013, and 2015. He later joined Chipmusic.org, further expanding his presence in the chiptune scene.
In 2009, 81ttr45hr10t released his debut EP, "Neighbourhood," followed by "Neighbourhood Revisited" in 2010, which was not released until 2015. That same year, he was invited to release his first full album, "Sonata for a fictional 8bit microcomputer," through the Mexican netlabel 56kbps Records. His second full-length album, "Movie Computer Allstars," was recorded in 2011 and released in January 2014.
The "0$ EP," released in 2013, featured previously unavailable tracks from 2009 to 2012. The artist also re-released "Sonata" in 2013 with new cover art and a bonus track. Additionally, he released the "Reset" EP in 2013 on six 3.5" floppy disks, which included remixed versions of older tracks and new recordings, marking a rare foray into the Chip Metal genre.
In March 2014, 81ttr45hr10t unveiled his most ambitious project to date, the 16-track concept album "Technik," with visual artwork by Spanish graphic artist lxtxcx, which had been in development since approximately 2012. After this extensive effort, he took until September 2015 to release his fourth album, "Neighbourhood - The Revenge," completing the "Neighbourhood" trilogy.
To commemorate the release of the 2015 James Bond film "Spectre," he created a cover of the original 1962 James Bond theme by Monty Norman, collaborating with visual effects artist Bouncing Bit. Late in 2015 marked the beginning of work on what would ultimately be 81ttr45hr10t's last album to date. Following the positive reception of the single "Children shall lead," he released the "To the stars" EP on October 31, 2016, which featured seven new songs along with three versions of a bonus track.
BronxKuma from the chiptune community Chiptunes=Win suggested in his review of the EP that this might be 81ttr45hr10t's final release, although this remains uncertain. In August 2017, he released a "post mortem" EP titled "Found & lost," which included five previously unreleased tracks and an original cyberpunk-themed composition that had been rejected for compilation by Chiptunes=Win.
In July 2018, he made a return through a collaboration with California-based artist MrGee, debuting the Chip Folk track "Fallout through the years" on Twitch's "That Fallout Show," followed by its release on Bandcamp and YouTube. This collaboration was succeeded by the "Launch" EP in November 2018, which contained five tracks themed around the Fallout series.
Throughout 2019, 81ttr45hr10t focused on creating remixes for other artists and developing new material for an EP titled "Out there in the wasteland," which was released on April 4, 2020, featuring six tracks that received positive feedback from the Fallout gaming community.
Most recently, he released the "Attract Mode" album on November 3, 2023. There have been indications of a forthcoming project titled "Other people's chips," a compilation of covers and remixes, though details regarding this venture remain limited.
