The Soundtrack From The Film The Song Remains The Same

SKU: 147209598395
Category: Rock

Led Zeppelin - The Soundtrack From The Film The Song Remains The Same - 1976 Snd - This one is a bit of an "odd duck", the sleeve and one of the records is a Columbia House issue, the other record seems to be just a regular copy. Sides 1 and 2 are EX/EX, sides 3 and 4 are pretty scruffy in terms of hairlines, VG+/VG+ and makes some noise during No Quarter.  - The record has been cleaned using ultrasonic technology and is a little rough, in VG+ condition. The cover is crisp, only a VG+ because of age and/or tag residue or writing!

Led Zeppelin

Led Zeppelin, the renowned English rock band, was active from 1968 until 1980, during which time they produced eight studio albums.

The band's formation can be traced back to the remnants of The Yardbirds. Guitarist Jimmy Page joined The Yardbirds in their final days and played a significant role in the group's last album, 1967's "Little Games," which also featured string arrangements by composer John Paul Jones. However, throughout 1967, The Yardbirds were largely inactive as the band members deliberated their future. During this period, Page returned to session work and, in the spring of 1968, contributed to Jones' arrangement of Donovan's "Hurdy Gurdy Man." It was during these sessions that Jones expressed his desire to be involved in any future project Page was planning, prompting Page to expedite the formation of a new band.

In the summer of 1968, following the departure of Yardbirds members Keith Relf and Jim McCarty, Page and bassist Chris Dreja found themselves with the rights to the band's name and the responsibility of fulfilling an upcoming fall tour. This led Page on a quest to find a new vocalist and drummer. Initially, he sought singer Terry Reid and Procol Harum's drummer B.J. Wilson, but neither was available. Reid then recommended that Page contact Robert Plant, who was performing with a band called Hobbstweedle.

Led Zeppelin was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995, recognized for their significant contributions as performers in the music industry.

SRO Records Record Grading Guide:

SEALED/Mint:

Vinyl: Assumed mint, unverified until opened.

Sleeve: Visible through shrink wrap, graded as above.

NM (Near Mint):

Vinyl: Nearly flawless, with possible minor scuffs or hairlines only visible under strong light.
Sleeve: Appears new, as if freshly printed.

EX (Excellent):

Vinyl: Bright, with minor surface wear and hairlines, not affecting play.

Sleeve: May have faint creases or abrasions, but artwork is clean.

VG+ (Very Good Plus):

Vinyl: Obvious wear, scuffs and hairlines, plays with some noise but no major sound issues.

Sleeve: Worn with creases, noticeable wear, acid deterioration, corner dings, chipping, and possible seam wear.

Here's the typical SRO Records line in the sand. Anything below VG+, unless it's rare, unusual or just awesome, we're NOT going to sell online, much less go through the hassle of an ultrasonic cleaning, we're going to put it in one of many $10 Record boxes that we sell at Record Conventions and events. Some will wind up in the $1 Box, just to get it back out into the world for someone to enjoy or make a planter out of.

VG (Very Good):

Vinyl: Dull appearance with many hairlines and scuffs, somehow plays with persistent noise but no skips.

Sleeve: Worn with possible seam splits and moderate ring wear.

G+ (Good Plus):

Vinyl: Numerous marks and scratches, plays with significant noise but music usually overpowers flaws.

Sleeve: Rough appearance with possible seam splits and water damage.

G (Good):

Vinyl: Copious unforgettable marks, probably a skip or jump.

Sleeve: Heavy ring wear and damage, likely large seam splits or water damage.

F (Fair):

Vinyl: It's round with nearly infinite damage, skipper gonna skip

Sleeve: It's basically what's left of the sleeve for the album
