Creedence Clearwater Revival - Cosmo's Factory - 1970 Blues - VG+ - UltSnc Cln - 1st edition.. Blue Fantasy labels.. She's back! Yes folks, talking about the illustrious "Linda Flunker", who is incapable of walking past any record without signing her stupid name in 6 inch high cursive. Exhausting. Both sides of the sleeve. 100% Flunker. Anyways, calling this a VG+ but it's actually nicer than you imagine, a very solid copy. It's good we got it out of her hands, she might have discovered Sharpies by now..  - The record has been cleaned using ultrasonic technology and is a little rough, in VG+ condition. The cover is crisp, only a VG+ because of age and/or tag residue or writing!

Creedence Clearwater Revival

Creedence Clearwater Revival, commonly referred to as "CCR," was an American rock band that was active from 1967 to 1972. The band consisted of John Fogerty, who handled vocals and guitar, Tom Fogerty on rhythm guitar, Stu Cook on bass, and Doug "Cosmo" Clifford on drums. Although the band originated in Berkeley, California, their music often evoked themes and imagery associated with the American South.

The roots of CCR can be traced back to 1959 when John Fogerty, Stu Cook, and Doug Clifford initially formed a group called The Blue Velvets. They later backed John's older brother, Tom, in a band named Tommy Fogerty and the Blue Velvets. The group subsequently changed their name to the Golliwogs and released several singles that did not achieve commercial success. In 1967, they rebranded as Creedence Clearwater Revival, with John Fogerty assuming full creative control over the band. During their peak, CCR was remarkably productive, releasing six albums along with various singles from 1968 to 1970.

However, the dynamic within the band began to strain, particularly as the other members felt constrained by John Fogerty's leadership. In 1971, it was announced that Tom Fogerty had left the band. As a trio, CCR released their final album, "Mardi Gras," in 1972. Following Tom's departure, John agreed to allow Cook and Clifford more involvement in writing and recording, yet the album was met with poor reception, leading to the band's eventual dissolution.

In the years following their breakup, tensions between John and the other band members escalated. Notably, during the band's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993, John controversially prevented Cook and Clifford from joining him on stage, as Tom had passed away in 1990. In 1995, Cook and Clifford came together to form a new band.

SRO Records Record Grading Guide:

SEALED/Mint:

Vinyl: Assumed mint, unverified until opened.

Sleeve: Visible through shrink wrap, graded as above.

NM (Near Mint):

Vinyl: Nearly flawless, with possible minor scuffs or hairlines only visible under strong light.
Sleeve: Appears new, as if freshly printed.

EX (Excellent):

Vinyl: Bright, with minor surface wear and hairlines, not affecting play.

Sleeve: May have faint creases or abrasions, but artwork is clean.

VG+ (Very Good Plus):

Vinyl: Obvious wear, scuffs and hairlines, plays with some noise but no major sound issues.

Sleeve: Worn with creases, noticeable wear, acid deterioration, corner dings, chipping, and possible seam wear.

Here's the typical SRO Records line in the sand. Anything below VG+, unless it's rare, unusual or just awesome, we're NOT going to sell online, much less go through the hassle of an ultrasonic cleaning, we're going to put it in one of many $10 Record boxes that we sell at Record Conventions and events. Some will wind up in the $1 Box, just to get it back out into the world for someone to enjoy or make a planter out of.

VG (Very Good):

Vinyl: Dull appearance with many hairlines and scuffs, somehow plays with persistent noise but no skips.

Sleeve: Worn with possible seam splits and moderate ring wear.

G+ (Good Plus):

Vinyl: Numerous marks and scratches, plays with significant noise but music usually overpowers flaws.

Sleeve: Rough appearance with possible seam splits and water damage.

G (Good):

Vinyl: Copious unforgettable marks, probably a skip or jump.

Sleeve: Heavy ring wear and damage, likely large seam splits or water damage.

F (Fair):

Vinyl: It's round with nearly infinite damage, skipper gonna skip

Sleeve: It's basically what's left of the sleeve for the album
