Van Morrison
Van Morrison, OBE (Order of the British Empire), was born on 31 August 1945 in Belfast. He is a Grammy Award-winning Northern Irish singer, songwriter, author, poet, and multi-instrumentalist, whose professional music career began in the late 1950s. Morrison is proficient in a range of instruments, including the guitar, harmonica, keyboards, drums, and saxophone.
Affectionately dubbed "Van the Man" by his fans, Morrison first gained recognition as the lead singer of the Northern Irish band Them, where he wrote their influential 1964 hit "Gloria." He embarked on a successful solo career shortly thereafter. In 1966, he moved to the United States, initially settling in New York City. By 1968, he spent nine months in Cambridge, near Boston. During early autumn of that year, he recorded his iconic album *Astral Weeks* in New York before relocating to Woodstock. In the spring of 1971, he moved to California, where he established his own recording studio, Caledonia Studios, in the town of Fairfax, located in Marin County. Throughout his life, Morrison has relocated frequently; by 1977, he was residing in Brentwood near Los Angeles, and later in Sausalito. He has also returned to Ireland and the UK, including purchasing a house in Bath, England.
Morrison's contributions to music have been widely recognized. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2003. In 2000, he was ranked #25 on VH1's list of the 100 greatest artists of rock and roll. Rolling Stone Magazine included him at #42 on their list of The Immortals: 100 Greatest Artists of All Time in 2004. In 2006, Paste Magazine listed him as the 20th greatest living songwriter, while Q Magazine ranked him 22nd among the 100 Greatest Singers in April 2007.

- Record was initially cleaned manually, then ultrasonically cleaned with iSonic Ultrasonic Cleaning prior to grading

- Records are packaged with a poly outer sleeve, the LP is placed in a fresh white inner sleeve directly after cleaning, (we include the accompanying sleeve, we send you both), separate from the cover to protect the seams during shipment, and of course, shipped within thick cardboard insert pads in a thick cardboard record mailer.

SEALED/Mint:
Vinyl: Assumed mint, unverified until opened.
Sleeve: Visible through shrink wrap, graded as above.
NM (Near Mint):
Vinyl: Nearly flawless, with possible minor scuffs or hairlines only visible under strong light.
Sleeve: Appears new, as if freshly printed.
EX (Excellent):
Vinyl: Bright, with minor surface wear and hairlines, not affecting play.
Sleeve: May have faint creases or abrasions, but artwork is clean.
VG+ (Very Good Plus):
Vinyl: Obvious wear, scuffs and hairlines, plays with some noise but no major sound issues.
Sleeve: Worn with creases, noticeable wear, acid deterioration, corner dings, chipping, and possible seam wear.
Here's the typical SRO Records line in the sand. Anything below VG+, unless it's rare, unusual or just awesome, we're NOT going to sell online, much less go through the hassle of an ultrasonic cleaning, we're going to put it in one of many $10 Record boxes that we sell at Record Conventions and events. Some will wind up in the $1 Box, just to get it back out into the world for someone to enjoy or make a planter out of.
VG (Very Good):
Vinyl: Dull appearance with many hairlines and scuffs, somehow plays with persistent noise but no skips.
Sleeve: Worn with possible seam splits and moderate ring wear.
G+ (Good Plus):
Vinyl: Numerous marks and scratches, plays with significant noise but music usually overpowers flaws.
Sleeve: Rough appearance with possible seam splits and water damage.
G (Good):
Vinyl: Copious unforgettable marks, probably a skip or jump.
Sleeve: Heavy ring wear and damage, likely large seam splits or water damage.
F (Fair):
Vinyl: It's round with nearly infinite damage, skipper gonna skip
Sleeve: It's basically what's left of the sleeve for the album
