Climax Blues Band
The Climax Blues Band, an English band founded in the 1960s by Colin Cooper, originally went by the name The Climax Chicago Blues Band. Throughout their career, the band has maintained a steadfast commitment to their roots, blending elements of jazz and blues. They have released a total of 21 albums and achieved significant success in the UK, notably with the Top 10 hit "Couldn't Get It Right." This song, along with "I Love You," also garnered attention in the United States, with "Couldn't Get It Right" reaching No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1977, while "I Love You" peaked at No. 12 in 1981.
In 1985, Cooper and fellow band member George Glover brought in guitarist Lester Hunt, drummer Roy Adams, and original member Derek Holt to work on the album *Drastic Steps*. This new line-up toured extensively across the UK, Europe, and the United States in support of the album. By the early 1990s, this configuration solidified with Cooper, Glover, Hunt, Adams, and Neil Simpson, leading to the release of the live album *Blues From The Attic* in 1993 and *Big Blues* in 2004.
Colin Cooper passed away from cancer at the age of 69 in July 2008, leaving behind his wife and two children. He expressed a desire for the band to continue, as the remaining musicians had been long-standing members: Glover since 1980, Adams and Hunt since 1985, and Simpson since 1991. Following Cooper's death, singer and multi-instrumentalist Johnny Pugh took over, serving until his retirement in 2012. He was succeeded by vocalist Graham Dee and saxophonist Chris Aldridge.
In 2019, the Climax Blues Band released *Hands Of Time*, an album featuring original material that blends bluesy funk, soul, and jazz rock, which has received positive reviews. The current lineup consists of George Glover, Lester Hunt, Graham Dee, Chris Aldridge, Neil Simpson, and Roy Adams.

- Record was initially cleaned manually, then ultrasonically cleaned with iSonic Ultrasonic Cleaning prior to grading
- Records are packaged with a poly outer sleeve, the LP is placed in a fresh white inner sleeve directly after cleaning, (we include the accompanying sleeve, we send you both), separate from the cover to protect the seams during shipment, and of course, shipped within thick cardboard insert pads in a thick cardboard record mailer.

SEALED/Mint:
Vinyl: Assumed mint, unverified until opened.
Sleeve: Visible through shrink wrap, graded as above.
NM (Near Mint):
Vinyl: Nearly flawless, with possible minor scuffs or hairlines only visible under strong light.
Sleeve: Appears new, as if freshly printed.
EX (Excellent):
Vinyl: Bright, with minor surface wear and hairlines, not affecting play.
Sleeve: May have faint creases or abrasions, but artwork is clean.
VG+ (Very Good Plus):
Vinyl: Obvious wear, scuffs and hairlines, plays with some noise but no major sound issues.
Sleeve: Worn with creases, noticeable wear, acid deterioration, corner dings, chipping, and possible seam wear.
Here's the typical SRO Records line in the sand. Anything below VG+, unless it's rare, unusual or just awesome, we're NOT going to sell online, much less go through the hassle of an ultrasonic cleaning, we're going to put it in one of many $10 Record boxes that we sell at Record Conventions and events. Some will wind up in the $1 Box, just to get it back out into the world for someone to enjoy or make a planter out of.
VG (Very Good):
Vinyl: Dull appearance with many hairlines and scuffs, somehow plays with persistent noise but no skips.
Sleeve: Worn with possible seam splits and moderate ring wear.
G+ (Good Plus):
Vinyl: Numerous marks and scratches, plays with significant noise but music usually overpowers flaws.
Sleeve: Rough appearance with possible seam splits and water damage.
G (Good):
Vinyl: Copious unforgettable marks, probably a skip or jump.
Sleeve: Heavy ring wear and damage, likely large seam splits or water damage.
F (Fair):
Vinyl: It's round with nearly infinite damage, skipper gonna skip
Sleeve: It's basically what's left of the sleeve for the album
